Los Student Games nacieron hace 15 años como uno de los eventos Estudiantiles en la feria ISA USA  para estimular la integración de la academia y la industria

AutomatISA Andino 2009 hará la primera versión para Hispano Hablantes

ISA International Student Games (ISG)

El primer ISG internacional se hizo en 1993, y se ha convertido en un evento insignia en la solución de problemas prácticos difíciles. El evento de un día reúne equipos de todo el mundo ansiosos por demostrar sus conocimientos y habilidades frente a otros equipos y estimulantes problemas prácticos.  Los equipos participantes son seleccionados a nivel de distritos.  Algunos distritos seleccionan los seleccionan en una competencia entre las instituciones con ISAs estudiantiles debidamente registradas y activas.

Esta competición ofrece una oportunidad para que miembros ISA Estudiantiles en todo el mundo puedan demostrar su conocimiento de la automatización y las tecnologías de control mientras disfruta de la camaradería y la diversión de la competición.
En 2001 fue rebautizado con el nombre de Internacional de Estudiantes Games (ISG). el ISG compuesta de dos secciones: la ISA All-Star Bowl y el ISA útiles. No se celebraron en 2004 pero regresaron en 2005 con un nuevo formato "todos los problemas prácticos". El registro de equipos se coordinan a través de cada VicePresidente de Distrito ISA. Cada distrito tiene la responsabilidad de determinar el método para seleccionar un equipo para representar a su distrito. Cada estudiante representante debe estar registrado a más tardar 30 días antes del evento

Mirando al 2008 y 2009
La selección de equipos para los Juegos de Estudiantes Internacionales que ocurre a nivel de distrito. Para saber la forma en que su distrito identifica su equipo, póngase en contacto con su Distrito de Vice Presidente.
El VP D4 que cubre Suramérica seleccionó a la Universidad del Cauca para representar de nuevo el Distrito en los juegos de Houston 2008.

2007 marked the third year of the all-practical problems format for the Student Games.

Not only did the teams attend the Monday night Honors and Awards Banquet, they followed the award recipients in the opening procession carrying flags representing countries where ISA has chartered Sections.
